About
The Building Manager Awards recognize building managers on the Monroe Park and MCV Campuses who have gone above and beyond their responsibilities to serve building occupants and the VCU community, demonstrate the values of VCU, and address the needs of the building(s) they serve. One building manager per campus will be recognized and receive a one-time $500 monetary award.
Nominations
VCU faculty and staff can nominate one or more building managers who have served at least one year in the role, not previously won the award and deserve to be recognized by completing the nomination form linked here by October 31, 2025.
As stated in the nomination form, nominators should send at least one letter of recommendation to VCU Facilities Management at askfmd@vcu.edu. The letter should convey why the building manager deserves to be nominated, comment on their ability to perform building manager responsibilities, and provide any additional information that the selection committee should be aware of.
Once nominations close, the VCU Building Manager Awards Committee will review nominations and determine winners based on the information submitted by nominators. Winners will be announced at the annual building managers meeting in mid-November 2025 and posted to this web page.
